What is MyAsianVilla.com?
MyAsianVilla.com is a leading villa rental website in Thailand, featuring properties in Pattaya, Koh Samui, Krabi and Phuket. Every property listed on MyAsianVilla.com has been individually reviewed and approved by MyAsianVilla.com. We work closely with each villa's property manager to ensure that all villas are managed and maintained to the highest possible standards to ensure your holiday is pleasurable and comfortable.

How long have you been in business?
MyAsianVilla.com was established in 2005. The MyAsianVilla.com team comes from various professional backgrounds, including e-commerce technology, real estate, property management, accounting, tourism and advertising. We understand the importance of customer service and how to maximize villas owners' property value and return on investment.

What types of accommodation do you offer?
As the name suggests, the main type of property available is the villa. These properties are privately owned homes and therefore each unit style is different, representing the owner's tastes. Each villa is managed by a company representing the estate, and the villa manager will be on hand to assist at all times. We also offer condo/apartment style accommodation within resorts, with an array of activities often found in resorts throughout the world.

What destinations do you deal with?
We deal with accommodation in Thailand and predominantly Phuket, as this is the most developed area of the country outside Bangkok and has the most established tourist infrastructure. Other destinations include Krabi, just a few hours' drive from Phuket and known for its stunning karst scenery and secluded beaches. Koh Samui on the East coast of Thailand is rapidly catching up with Phuket in terms of accommodation choices and development. Pattaya has long been established as a party town, however these days Pattaya offers something for all tastes, including some of the best dining, nightlife, and diving in Thailand.

What currency do you display your prices in?
The prices on the website are in USD.

What price ranges are your properties?
Property prices fluctuate according to the season. A 1 bedroom property can cost from as little as $100 USD per night in low season (usually from April - November) and $500 USD in the peak season (December - February). Generally, properties in Phuket are 30% more than the equivalent in Koh Samui. This is due to Phuket being more developed and the convenience of direct flights from more international airports to Phuket.

Part of the government's tourism promotion strategy is to ensure that there's something happening just about all the time, somewhere in the country. The main event in Thailand is 'Songkran' - the Thai new year, which is celebrated from the 13th - 15th April. The most obvious celebration of Songkran is the throwing of water. People roam the streets with containers of water or water guns, or post themselves at the side of roads with a garden hose and drench each other and passersby. This, however, was not always the main activity of this festival. Songkran was traditionally a time to visit and pay respects to elders, including family members, friends and neighbors.
